{DSPT Student Event - Owl of Minerva}
The Owl of Minerva is a philosophy gathering of students, professors, and a community of thinkers that meets once a month to discuss philosophy and related issues. It is an informal way by which philosophers can present their original ideas for discussion in a non-threatening environment. In addition, the forum offers an opportunity for the audience to voice objections and counter arguments to the philosophical ideas presented to them.
{St. Thomas Aquinas - The Dumb Ox}
The Dumb Ox is a gathering of students, professors, and a community of thinkers who meet two or three times each semester to hear a presentation on theology and to discuss theology with each other. It is an informal place for graduate students to present their original ideas for discussion in a non-threatening environment, and to freely agree with or disagree with the ideas being presented.
{DSPT Student Event - Philosophy Movie Night}
Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology (DSPT) students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the local community gather several times each semester to discuss philosophical themes in great movies. There will be a ten-minute talk before each movie and a related philosophical topic is discussed after the showing. The public, philosophers and scholars are invited to attend.

March 17, 2010 Students met at DSPT and carpolled to Tilden Park's Quarry Trail to enjoy fresh air, fellowship, a refreshing break from studies and a reflection by Fr. Jerome Cudden, OP.
