News from Domincan School Graduates

News from November 2006

Homer Teng (2000)

I work as a counselor in San Francisco's Chinatown for a family resource center that serves families of children ages 0-5. Virtually all my clients are immigrant parents from China. I conduct monthly parenting workshops for them and connect them with community resources. I am also the coordinator of a coalition of 16 community agencies aimed at raising the economic self-sufficiency of Chinese immigrant families in Chinatown.

In my spare time, I am involved in my parish in El Cerrito -- St. Jerome Catholic Church, as a lector, choir member and adult catechist.

Susan McGinnis Hardie (1999)

I am teaching as an adjunct faculty for the art department at Lansing Community College (and, in Jan 07,  I will also be teaching online studio art and design courses for the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA).
