CONCURRENT MASTER of DIVINITY AND DSPT M.A. (THEOLOGY) OR GTU COMMON M.A. DEGREES
(program description)
Admissions Requirements
The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and the M.A. (Theology) or GTU Common M.A. programs each has its own rationale and integrity. It is possible, however, for students enrolled in the M.Div. program to enroll concurrently in any of the M.A. programs of theology: GTU Common M.A.; DSPT M.A. (Theology) - Comprehensive Emphasis; or DSPT M.A. (Theology) - Research Emphasis. In this combination, the two programs are viewed as complementing each other.
Students wishing to enroll in the two programs concurrently normally begin their studies in the M.Div. program and apply to the M.A. program during the fourth semester of their M.Div. studies. Once accepted into the second program, they will need to consult carefully with their advisors to plan their studies in a way that will allow them to fulfill the requirements that are central to each program: the specific courses that are integral to the M.Div. program and the distribution and specialization requirements which are central to the M.A. programs.
For program admissions requirements, see the DSPT Master of Divinity Admissions or the DSPT M.A. (Theology) Admissions pages.
