GTU MASTER OF ARTS (COMMON M.A.)
(program description)
This program emphasizes the ecumenical dimensions of theological study, encouraging course work in the various traditions of the member schools of the GTU consortium. Applicants interested in the GTU Common M.A. apply through the GTU Admissions Office but choose to affiliate with one of the nine member schools.
The Common M.A. is a two-year degree program requiring a total of fourteen 3-unit academic courses, plus six units of thesis work. The primary academic base for the M.A. is the student's school of affiliation, chosen according to study interests as well as denominational ties.
Students who affiliate with DSPT may specialize in Scripture, historical studies, systematic and philosophical theology, moral theology and Christian ethics, religion and the arts, preaching, cultural and historical studies of religion, and Christian spirituality.
