DSPT Campus

Our Campus

Situated in the hills of Berkeley, California, DSPT is at the center of one of the largest academic hubs of the Bay Area.

DSPT Campus at Night

Upon entering campus, you are immediately greeted by the Great Lawn, which resembles the mysterious serenity of a cloister - a quiet calming plane of grass, well defined on all sides but simple in form.

The Tuscan columns frame the colonnade, giving the lawn a character, texture and reference to history.

Classroom & Administration BuildingDSPT Campus - Colonnade and Classroom and Administration Building

As you enter the gate and step into the building on your left, you will enter the Blackfriars Gallery which hosts art exhibits from around the world.

Our campus is a place where learning happens inside the classroom and out. In the evenings, professors, guest lecturers, and students give lectures and presentations covering a range of topics related to philosophy and theology. See DSPT Events for details.

3 classrooms and the kitchen follow on the left and a large, comfortable gathering area filled with couches and chairs is available to the entire DSPT community.

DSPT Classroom 1 - Our AV Theater3 classrooms run along the west side of the building. #1 is theater style, (max. 70 persons), equipped with technology to digitally record lectures for broadcast. #2 and 3 are smaller, seminar-style and can be joined into one large classroom and open up to the Blackfriars Gallery for large gatherings. The administrative staff offices are downstairs.
