Maria Fedoryka, PhD "Contingency from a Personalist Perspective: A Metaphysics of Love"

April 16, 2010

Dr. Maria FedorykaMaria Fedoryka, PhD is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Ave Maria University. She will seek to demonstrate that through a philosophical analysis of contingent being, one can arrive at the conclusion of the metaphysical centrality of love for the existence of the human person. These reflections will lead to a reconsideration of contingency from a personalist point of view, and some of the implications of this for the meaning of human existence and the person's genuine fulfillment as person.
