Admissions Requirements

Application Deadlines

Priority Deadlines: Fall - March 1, Spring - November 1.

Final Deadlines: Fall – August 1, Spring – January 1.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Those interested in applying for Scholarships should complete their Application for Admission no later than the Priority Deadline for full consideration. Later applicants are still encouraged to apply for Scholarship and Grant aid; however, applications received after the Priority Deadline will be reviewed on a case by case basis and are subject to availability of funds.

  • Completed Application
  • Application Fee $50
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Official Transcripts
  • TOEFL or IELTS (international) Scores
  • Letters of Recommendation

MA program additional requirements

  • Academic Writing Sample
  • Official GRE Scores

Concurrent MA Option additional requirements

  • A statement of purpose describing how this option will advance your educational and career goals
  • A transcript demonstrating coursework in either philosophy or theology
  • An academic writing sample from the fields of philosophy or theology preferred
  • At least one letter of recommendation that supports your ability to integrate studies in philosophy and theology, as well as to write a 120-page thesis
