The Fabric of God's Plan
In The Fabric of God’s Plan, Berkeley artist Mary Day explores her experience with the unfolding of God’s plan and a dilemma often heard from Christian artists – how to balance the requirements of an artistic tradition with the legitimate need to integrate one’s own creative imagination.
Before there are set standards for materials and methods in religious art, architecture, or music, someone attempts something new. This exhibition explores the dynamic between tradition, a cultural artifact that appears over time, and artistic innovation that respects that tradition.
As a community determines the relevance of a new creation to its own deeply held beliefs and values, this dynamic makes evident the need for respectful dialog between the artist and their community so that the limits can be explored and the artist encouraged.

- Hollywood History through Biblical Epics is a two-part online lecture by Richard Lindsay, PhD and Ryan Parker, PhD. The video presentation takes the viewer through the history of the American movie industry as seen through the lens of biblical and religious epics.
- Hollywood Biblical Epics: the Podcast is an immersive, engaging, narrative sound documentary in five episodes created by Richard Lindsay, PhD and Ryan Parker, PhD. Focusing on the history of biblical and religious films in Hollywood, it features interviews with three experts on biblical films: David Blanke, Matthew Page, and Adele Reinhartz.
